It's been years...

Since I've visited this place, though I do read my subscriptions daily.

I don't have much to say, haven't been in a talking mood for about a year now.  Haven't told anyone from my online friends but I was grieving.  My foster mom passed away last Mother's Day.

There was anger, then depression and anxiety, now just sadness.  I do miss her.  As spring gets closer again, I'm remembering how she was getting ill this time last year.

Even now, it's hard to put into words what I was feeling, or still feeling.  Or even the disgust of what happened around her funeral here at home.  There are times when I truly hate my family.  Maybe one day I can talk about those few days.

I don't know how often I'll be visiting here, but I won't abandon this place, I just may rattle on things of non-importance.  I've been thinking of this place more often of late, it's like seeing an old friend again.

Anyways, how to start a blog for the new year? It's been ages since I said anything at all...  Lately I've been spending alot of time in chat and reading movie news.  I've got my top 10 movies for 2006 and gotta see top 10 movies for 2007, though I'll be posting them in my next blog.  Hopefully everyone have watched movies last year.

So...  Happy New Years everyone!  I know it's a bit late, only by 18 days or so.  Haven't been online much, been sick with a Sinus cold.  I sounded and felt a bit like Oscar the Grouch, but now I'm feeling better.  Though I have been online for a short while, mostly it's been in chat.

Welcome Chasing_Dani, thanks for subscribing to my site.  Glad to see you here and I look forward to chatting with you soon, gotta keep talking about Gerry, Matt and Wolverine.

And thanks daveshaq for your kind greetings in the previous Christmas blog.  Hope things are going good for you.  Send me an email if you still got my addy, I tried sending you one but it bounced back to me.

tumbling_dice, thanks for your greeting in the previous Christmas blog too and for the nice Christmas card and gift.  I really appreciate it and it was a great read, finally finished it a few days ago.    I know, I still need to write a review on Casino Royale, though you know my thoughts on it already.

percival, thank you for the Christmas card and e-Christmas card, I greatly appreciate them both.    Hope your enjoying your studies and hopefully we'll bump into each other again on MSN.  I bet you can't wait for Spidey 3, it's on my top 10 to see list for this year.

Thanks InvisibleAng for the Christmas Card, it was lovely and I greatly appreciate it.    Hope your feeling well and that things are going okay for you too.

And for people who sent me an email to my outlook addy, I was finally able to download the emails.  Again, someone sent me a huge file and killed it for a while.  :-/

I have been catching up on what's happening to some people on my sub list, though haven't left any comments yet.  Will be visiting people soon.

I did see that wasabibaby had been in an accident a few months back.  Rose, I hope that you'll be better soon and I'll be saying a prayer for you.

Trazalca has some personal problems too, glad to see things aren't as serious as previously mentioned.  Hope things will stay positive for you.

It's been a long time since I've posted something like this....  Felt it was needed.  Seeings Robert Burns night will be here soon, thought it would be appropriate.    (It is one of my favorite, I know a bit strange...)

To A Louse

On Seeing One On A Lady's Bonnet, At Church

Ha! whaur ye gaun, ye crowlin ferlie?
Your impudence protects you sairly;
I canna say but ye stunt rarely,
Owre  gauze and lace;
Tho', faith! I fear ye dine but sparely
On sic a place.

Ye ugly, creepin, blastit wonner,
Detested, shunn'd by saunt an' sinner,
How daur ye set your fit upon her-
Sae fine a lady?
Gae somewhere else and seek your dinner
On some poor body.

Swith! in some beggar's haffet squattle;
There ye may creep, and sprawl, and sprattle,
Wi' ither kindred, jumping cattle,
In shoals and nations;
Whaur horn nor bane ne'er daur unsettle
Your thick plantations.

Now haud you there, ye're out o' sight,
Below the fatt'rels, snug and tight;
Na, faith ye yet! ye'll no be right,
Till ye've got on it-
The verra tapmost, tow'rin height
O' Miss' bonnet.

My sooth! right bauld ye set your nose out,
As plump an' grey as ony groset:
O for some rank, mercurial rozet,
Or fell, red smeddum,
I'd gie you sic a hearty dose o't,
Wad dress your droddum.

I wad na been surpris'd to spy
You on an auld wife's flainen toy;
Or aiblins some bit dubbie boy,
On's wyliecoat;
But Miss' fine Lunardi! fye!
How daur ye do't?

O Jeany, dinna toss your head,
An' set your beauties a
' abread!
Ye little ken what cursed speed
The blastie's makin:
Thae winks an' finger-ends, I dread,
Are notice takin.

O wad some Power the giftie gie us
To see oursels as ithers see us!
It wad frae mony a blunder free us,
An' foolish notion:
What airs in dress an' gait wad lea'e us,
An' ev'n devotion!

Robert Burns, 1786

To keep this blog short, here's a pic I thought was quite funny.

Oh ah!!  This is awesome!  Finally figured out how to scan pics.  lol, though I can't seem to get the sizes to be even.

This is a pic of our field looking away from our house.  This was taken this spring when Wayne had rotatilled the field so that timothy and oats could grow, plus a little bit of clover grew up in it too.

This is a pic of the back fields, if you look at the previous picture it's just before that brush pile halfway to the back.

Heh, this pic is taken in at the same spot as the one above but facing our house.  The building to the right, is our house and the one on the left is the barn.

This is a pic of Wayne's horses on our place.  Meet Wranger (the brown) and Cheyanne.

This is Templeton, he's a real sweet devil.

Basil and Darla, aren't they cute?

Pics from our Vacation.

Florentia Bay at Pacific National Rim Park.

Another Pic of Florentia Bay.

The Inner Harbour of Victoria.

If you can see, there are some Aboriginal People dipping in the Thompson River.  I thought that was pretty cool.

Another picture of the Thompson River.

A pic of a helicopter dumping water on a forest fire outside of Hell's gate.

This pic is of a small lake outside of 100 Mile House.

Well, there are lots of pics to choose from.  Plus some rolls of film still need to be developed.  Hope you like em.
